Are you a play therapist needing play therapy supervision training? Are you a mental health professional wanting to enhance your supervision skills? If so, this is the training for you! This training focuses on addressing challenges and issues in working with parents and caregivers in play therapy. Common issues the supervisee may experience will be covered, several play therapy models that incorporate parents will be highlighted, and strategies for success in working with parents will be presented. This correspondence training is completed from home but includes an interactive/experiential component where participants are asked to complete exercises. Complete this informative and interactive online/home study training at your own pace, gain supervision CE Hours, and enhance your supervisory skills.
Learning Objectives:
1) Name at least 2 challenging areas a supervisee might lack experience and struggle with when working with parents/caregivers in play therapy.
2) Explain at least 2 resources or tools the supervisor can share in supervision for working with parents/caregivers in play therapy.
3) Identify three play therapy models that a supervisor can utilize with the supervisee to discuss including parents in the therapeutic process.
Continuing Education:
This training is approved for 3 CE hrs applicable to the Association for Play Therapy (APT). Attendees wishing to receive APT continuing education hours must meet the guidelines established by these organizations. This training is relevant for Registered Play Therapists, Licensed Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Psychologists, School Counselors, Certified Counselors, and other Mental Health Professionals.
